The Vice Chancellor of Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU), Ago–Iwoye, Professor Ayodeji Agboola, has announced that funds for 5,613 students who applied for the Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) facility have already been paid into the university’s bank account and are ready for disbursement to eligible beneficiaries. He described the development as a major boost for access to education, assuring students and parents that the university is positioned to ensure an orderly, transparent process that supports learning continuity and reduces financial pressure on families. Prof. Agboola further disclosed that 1,270 additional applications from OOU students have been received, processed, and forwarded to NELFUND this week, expressing confidence that funding for the fresh batch will be deposited soon, as the programme continues to expand its impact.
